70 years of YWCA Charity Bazaar: Over 200 stands for a good cause!
In less than a week it will be that time again: the 70th YWCA Diplomatic Charity Bazaar will take place from November 6th to 9th, 2025 at the Central World Pulse in Bangkok. With the commitment of Central World, the YWCA and the wives of the ambassadors to Thailand, over 200 booths from more than 43 countries will be available. A unique event that attracts both locals and tourists and turns holiday shopping into an experience.
The event, which has been a fixture on the calendar since 1953 and originally began as a Christmas market, has established itself as a significant charity event over the years. This year the stands will be expanded to more than 2,000 m² - an increase from 1,500 m² last year - in order to be able to present even more offerings. For just 50 baht entry, which includes a limited-edition shopping bag, visitors can immerse themselves in the world of international specialties.
A colorful variety of offers
What can visitors expect? International food and high quality products, including wine from Argentina, chocolate from Belgium and olive oil from Greece. From festive gift ideas from Nepal to handmade products from Italy and Morocco, there's something to suit every taste. The selection of products has been carefully curated by the Ambassadors' Wives group to ensure visitors find only the best and culturally inspiring items.
This year's event aims to support projects to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged children and women. The income from the last few years has generated an impressive 7.5 million baht. These funds flow into social projects that, among other things, provide medical equipment and school materials.
Community and joy in the run-up to Christmas
The event places a strong focus on the theme of “Joy and Giving” during the holidays. It is not only an opportunity to find special gifts for loved ones, but also a way to help others in need. Spending 50 baht is not only an entrance fee, but also a contribution to improving the lives of many people. The mix of feasting, browsing and buying offers an all-round successful shopping experience that shouldn't be missed.
