Traffic changes in Bangkok: subway construction leads to traffic jams and noise!
Traffic on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road in Bangkok will be temporarily affected for the next few weeks. The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) announced that starting December 13, 2025, at 10:00 p.m., two lanes will be closed due to construction work on the Orange subway line. This measure concerns the section between Bang Khun Non and the Thailand Cultural Center, which is being implemented by Ch. Karnchang Public Company Limited. The work is scheduled to last until midnight on January 9, 2026. However, on the affected road, motorists will have three lanes in the direction of Ladprao and three lanes at the entrance to the Chalerm Mahanakorn Expressway. JS100
Residents and anyone traveling in the area can still enter and exit. However, it is recommended to avoid the route to avoid possible inconvenience and noise during construction. Those interested can call 0 2168 3460 – 68 for further information or visit the Orange Line Facebook page to keep up to date with progress. JS100
