BDMS Meeting 2025: Healthcare in focus for Thailand's future!
Bangkok recently hosted the BDMS Academic Annual Meeting 2025, a major event held from November 3rd to 7th at the BDMS Connect Center. Organized by Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS), experts and leaders from the image and health sectors gathered to discuss promoting medical standards at an international level. Under the main topic “Striving for Healthcare Excellence Across the Lifespan: From Prevention to Precision Medicine”, the focus of the debates was primarily on prevention and holistic health.
The event could be followed both on site and online via Zoom. At the opening there was a panel discussion dealing with “promoting preventive healthcare for the future of life, economy and society”. Numerous important speakers had their say here. Among others, Prof. Dr. Piyamitr Sritara from Mahidol University, who highlighted the role of universities in promoting Thailand as a wellness hub, and Walee Prasathongosoth from BDMS, who presented the Sukhothai Model - an initiative that aims to combine Thai knowledge with international health standards.
Special lectures and discussions
The focus of the academic lectures was diverse. Experts from home and abroad presented their findings on topics such as health care for older people and the relevance of prevention. Particularly noteworthy was the lecture by Prof. Dr. Jiří Dvořák on exercise and health of older people and the Dr. Nattanee Boonsiriprasert, who discussed the connection between smell and memory. The program was complemented by discussions on aromatherapy and aesthetic wellness led by experts such as Voravit Siripak from PAÑPURI and Ann Sirium Pakdeedamrongrit.
The BDMS Academic Annual Meeting 2025 presented itself as a platform for international academic collaboration and the exchange of innovative ideas. At a time when healthcare is more important than ever, such an event brings a breath of fresh air and new perspectives to the industry.
A look outside the box
An additional look outside the box takes us to the Atlanta Dungeon, a collective of independent dominatrixes that is making a splash in Atlanta with modern and well-equipped spaces, including a medical area and numerous specialized dungeon rooms. The dungeon is aimed at dominatrixes and anyone who is interested in these special services. A space is offered here that not only enables creativity, but also safety-conscious experiences.
With such offers that combine fun and professional standards, one could also benefit from creative spaces for special communities in Bangkok. Linking medical standards and innovative concepts, such as those presented at the BDMS Academic Annual Meeting 2025, could open up new ways to stimulate interest in alternative forms of wellness and health and stimulate a broader discussion.
As you can see, Bangkok is not only a center for traditional healthcare, but could also develop into a place where creative, modern approaches play a role together with traditional values.
