Thailand stock market in decline: What are the reasons behind the decline!

The Thai stock market has reacted turbulently recently. On November 7, 2025, the SET closed at 1,302.91 points, down 10.40 points or 0.79 percent. Despite a trading volume of an impressive 29,054 million baht, the overall trend was rather negative. Foreign investors recorded net sales of 2,717.02 million baht, while local funds had net purchases of 341.56 million baht. This shows that foreign investors are currently somewhat skeptical.

What's interesting is that among the five major stocks traded in the BIG LOT, Thai Union Group (TU) came out on top. With a trading volume of 113.98 million baht and an average price of 13.50 baht, TU showed high trading activity. However, overall market sentiment was depressed by negative developments in US markets and concerns about a possible economic slowdown in the US, particularly with regard to layoffs at large companies.

Market development and outlook

As for the outlook, the market is forecast to move sideways for the week of November 10-14, 2025. Resistance is expected at 1,310 to 1,320 points, while support levels are at 1,290 to 1,300 points. Some important company reports for the third quarter of 2025 will also be published next week. However, there are no significant economic data from abroad on the agenda, which could increase uncertainty.

The five stocks with the highest trading volume are as follows:

share Trading volume (million baht) Closing price (Baht) Change (Baht)
KBANK 1,970.25 180.50 -3.00
BDMS 1,649.07 6.50 p.m -0.10
TRUE 1,484.50 11.80 unchanged
SCB 1,349.80 129.50 -3.00
AOT 1,159.71 41.00 +0.75

In summary, the current situation in the Thai stock market is heavily influenced by external factors. Developments in the USA, particularly the situation of large companies, could also play an important role in the future. Further information can be found at LINE Today and Money and Banking.
